Local Missions Opportunities
Providence Church seeks to partner with our members in their work with local ministries, clubs, and organizations. Below are just a few of the areas in which our members are involved in the Frisco area. If you would like more information on any of these ministries, please contact Arch McIntosh, Director of Local Missions.
New Life Advocates
LifeTalk Pregnancy Center Client Advocates
LifeTalk offers counseling and resources to those needing help with an unplanned pregnancy or sexual health. Through Providence's partnership with LifeTalk, we have been able to help extend the hours for counseling and appointments by staffing the pregnancy center on Monday evenings.
LifeTalk client advocates serve on a regular basis and provide care and counseling for both women and men, all while sharing the hope of the gospel. Click here to learn more.
Mentoring Moms and Dads
Mentoring Moms and Dads offers ongoing care and community for LifeTalk clients who want to know more about following Jesus, are seeking parenting support, or want to get connected to a local church.
Mentoring Moms and Dads walk one-on-one in relationship with these men and women through a ten-week program. Click here to learn more.
Baby Showers for Expectant Mothers
Baby showers offer an opportunity to provide care and community for expectant moms who do not have sufficient support from family or friends. Community groups can work together to host a baby shower for women from LifeTalk or the Mentoring Moms program. Click here to learn more.
Daughters of Our Living Lord and Savior (DOLLS)
DOLLS chapters meet weekly before or after school on various public school campuses across the North Dallas region.
Frisco Public Library ESL
ESL classes are offered at the Frisco Public Library and Providence members are engaged in conversations with those who are seeking to learn English.
Good News Club
Good News Club meets weekly at Mooneyham Elementary School in East Frisco. The purpose is to share the gospel with public school students, many of whom do not have believing families or attend church.
The Good News Club is currently in need of donations to provide Bibles for each child to take home. If you are interested in donating toward this need, please email Arch McIntosh.
