Who was the first person to see Jesus after he resurrected from the grave?
How did the disciples that she told respond to her news?
How would you have responded if you had been there?
Jesus chose to see Mary Magdalene first, before any of the disciples. Jesus is so gracious to have chosen her, someone who would have been overlooked or mistreated by most other people. He is so gracious to us in the same way, willingly dying for our sins when we did not deserve it.
Pray
Pray together as a family about what you read today.
Jesus, thank you for being so gracious and choosing to love us who don’t deserve it. It is a miracle that you would choose to love us enough to die for us, even though we have sinned against you. We love you Jesus! We pray in Your Name, Amen.
Family Challenge
What better time than right after Easter to share the good news about Jesus with someone new? Decide as a family who needs to hear the gospel, pray for them, and think of a creative way to meet a need for them and share the good news about how Jesus met our greatest need, saving us from sin!
