How do followers of Jesus receive power?
We receive power from the Holy Spirit, the Helper, whom God sent to dwell in us when we believe through faith that Jesus is our Savior and Lord.
Where did Jesus tell his disciples to go and be witnesses? Another way to ask this is where did Jesus want his disciples to go and tell others about Him?
Jesus wanted them to spread into all of the world, local, then their neighbors, then those far off. God is a missional God and it has always been part of His plan for all peoples to know Him! We, the Church, are part of that mission still.
How did Jesus leave his disciples in verse 9?
He was lifted up into the clouds.
What does that remind you of?
Encourage kids to think back to the story of Elijah and how he was taken up in a chariot of fire and horses into the clouds.

Spend time praying. Thank God for making a way to dwell with His people by sending Jesus to be the Savior of the world and for sending the Holy Spirit to be our Helper.
